but it's all we've been doing lately! I don't mean to sound like a spoiled prissy pants, but for the past two weekends in a row, we have spent our days and nights at the beach, sleeping on the boat. Last weekend we went to Lake Roosevelt, which is a good three hours away and this previous weekend, we stayed a little closer to home, albeit half an hour away.
Here's the thing: it is exhausting. By the time I get home? I want to drop dead. It's all I can do not to lock my kids in the dog kennel so I can take a twelve hour nap. It drains me of all energy. It's fun in the moment, yes, but after it's all over...well, I need a vacation.
So to even out the plethora of lake photos I am once again going to show you, I have a little story to tell that hopefully might give you a little laugh.
There once was a boy named Gunner.
He ate ten mini bags of potato chips in one day.
His mom tried to get him to eat other things, but since they were out on the water, and he about bit her hand off if she tried to give him a vegetable, she said "eff it, eat the chips."
ps a fabulous book if you want to be a successful blogger. I'll be talking about this later this week.
At about 4 am, Gunner woke up saying his tummy hurt.
And we all know that when a four-year old says his tummy hurts, and that he's "going to throw up," you have exactly 2.8465 seconds to get him a bowl before it's too late.
Well, it was too late.

House boat! How fun!
ReplyDeleteGotta get the last few trips in to the lake before summer is over (kinda sad) = (

Haha poor Rob!! I did that to my daddy too. Although, my daddy was laying on his back throwing me up in the air right after I ate. Totally his own fault.
